    RIELDA Re-programmable Locks - Keys

RIELDA is probably the most innovative security lock system to enter the market since the key was invented.

RIELDA padlocks & cylinder lock systems work on the principle that the lock itself can be reprogrammed over and over again.  No longer is there the need to have locks changed when keys are lost, stolen or staff leave.  With a RIELDA lock cylinder it is simply a case of re-programming to a new combination.

It is stating the obvious to say that this is a lot quicker, especially when there is more than one lock to change.  This really is a revolutionary product that has turned the fiasco of changing locks in an emergency into an uncomplicated procedure of programming new key combinations, providing high security that is quick and effective.

RIELDA cylinders are also that little bit more environmentally friendly with savings on materials used including packaging

Instant Lock Re-programming

A simple turn of a special 'Gold Key' instantly re-programmes a RIELDA cylinder lock to disable missing keys and deny unauthorised access. Re-programming can be carried out as many times as necessary, so you are always in control.  This unique solution also provides the convenience of low cost 'Key Unification' - just one key to operate any number or type of RIELDA locks.

We have extensive experience in cutting a wide variety of keys including DND and Restricted Access Keys.

There are many types of locking systems available and below is a brief overview of the types of systems available.

Master keys

Often there is nothing special about the key itself, but rather the locks into which it fits.  These locks also have keys that are specific to each one (the change key) and cannot operate any of the others in the set. Locks that have master keys have a second set of the mechanism used to operate them that is identical to all of the others in the set of locks.

Larger organizations, with more complex "grandmaster key" systems, may have several masterkey systems where the top level grandmaster key works in all of the locks in the system.

Restricted key

A restricted key blank is a keyway and blank for which a manufacturer has set up a restricted level of sales and distribution. Restricted keys are often protected by patent, which prohibits other manufacturers from making unauthorized productions of the key blank. In many cases, customers must provide proof of ID before we can cut additional keys using restricted blanks.
